Kayaking through Abel Tasman National Park

Today Aaron and I went kayaking. This was by far the most amazing adventure we have had to date on this trip.  The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the water was amazing.  Aaron and I shared a two person kayak and survived.  It is amazing what 5 years of marriage can do for a couple.  The last time Aaron and I were in a single canoe, we did not have such a thrilling itme.  This time, our adventure was one for the memory books.  We say some beautiful sites, and remarkable beaches.  We even caught sight of a baby seal and her mommy.  This was just an awesome way to see Abel Tasman National Park and enjoy an entire day in the ocean.

For dinner we went to a place called Hopgood’s.  It was the most satiating dinner in Nelson.  If you ever go, you  must try it.  I had the best grouper and Aaron had a filet.  We could not have enjoyed our dinner any more.  Aaron was loving the local brews and I was settling into the Nelson wines.  It was a perfect ending to a perfect day!

We had such a great time in Nelson.  Now, on to Punakaiki.
